Click through the coffees and decide which ones you like the sound of. Use the sliders to choose how much of each you'd like in your blend, and that's it really! Blends often work best if they have a balance of characteristics - a little bit bold, a little bit bright, but it really is up to you which characteristics work best for you as an individual.
Honestly, blending is a bit of an art. Some coffees work beautifully together, others not so much; but there's one thing we're confident of - all our coffees are excellent; you may not configure a perfect blend, but you won't accidentally create something that tastes awful.
Of course! If you want a bag only containing of our excellent single origin, simply drag the appropriate slider to the end. That'll mean 360g of just this coffee, no need for a blend!
This one is a bit dorky. We needed a selection scale that would both work for what would likely be common blend ratios (50:50, 25:25:50, 33.33333:33.33333:33.33333....) but would also make our lives easier in the Roastery.
Initially we opted for a % scale with 10 increments, but that both disallowed quarters and thirds. We considered a % scale with 20 increments, but found it too messy. In the end we settled for a scale based on duodecimal - that is base-12. Dividing into 12 increments meant we could cover thirds, quarters and halves, while bagging 360g bags that divided neatly into whole numbers, meaning our lives are much easier and we don't have to weigh out fractions of a gram!
